Debut of first Edition hotel in Singapore and Southeast Asia

Singapore Edition, the first of its kind in the city-state and Southeast Asia, opens its doors to the public on November 9th. The largest hotel chain in the world, managed by Marriott, and luxury lifestyle brand Edition, conceived in partnership with American hotelier and real estate mogul Ian Schrager, presents 204-room hotel built across six floors and 154-unit luxury residences Boulevard 88 soaring 28 stories above the hotel block. Moshe Safdie of Safdie Architects and DP Architects of Singapore took over architectural duties for the project, Safdie also having worked on two iconic Singapore landmarks, Marina Bay Sands and Jewel Changi Airport.

Ian Schrager masterminded the interiors of the Singapore Edition in collaboration with the Hong Kong-based interior design firm Cap Atelier. The mixed-use development is nestled between Orchard Boulevard and Cuscaden Road in prime District 10, guided access to the hotel specifically from Cuscaden Road. The Singapore Edition was developed with the help of a consortium, comprised of Singapore tycoon Kwek Leng Beng’s Hong Leong Holdings, Singapore-listed property group City Developments (CDL) and Schrager’s Lea Investments.
