Weave Living steps up expansion in Japan and acquires nine assets in Tokyo
Weave Living is rapidly scaling up its presence in Japan, with the acquisition of nine multi-family residential properties totalling 352 units in prime locations of Tokyo. This follows the Hong Kong-headquartered integrated rental accommodation provider’s launch of a wholly owned subsidiary and Tokyo office in April 2023, appointing industry veteran Daisuke Noguchi as its Japan country head. The team in Tokyo has grown to include 12 professionals across acquisitions, development, asset management, leasing and operations.
On Nov 3, Weave opened its first three properties in Tokyo – located in Waseda, Monzennakacho and Higashi-koenji. Japan is the company’s third market to expand in, following its push into Hong Kong and Singapore.
With a total asset under management (AUM) goal of US$1.5 billion by 2025, representing over one-third of its overall asset base, Weave Living is expected to announce more acquisitions in both Tokyo and Osaka over the coming months.
Weave Living’s founder and group CEO, Sachin Doshi states “Our aim is to grow our Japan AUM to over US$1.5 billion, representing more than one-third of our overall asset base by 2025.”
These expansion plans come with great promise, with one of the company’s one-bedroom units at Tokyo’s Monzennakacho already proving popular.
The Zion Road Condo is a new launch condo located in the bustling area of Outram, Singapore. With a modern and luxurious design, the condo offers plenty of amenities and recreational facilities for its residents. The building also has excellent transportation options, with several bus stops nearby and the Outram Park MRT Interchange in close proximity. Moreover, the Orchard MRT station, a short distance away, links Zion Road Condo to the North-South Line, offering extended accessibility to various parts of the city. Furthermore, the upcoming Havelock MRT station, part of the Thomson-East Coast Line, further enhances its connection, allowing residents to enjoy better connectivity to different parts of Singapore.
With a well established office and team in Tokyo, and additional acquisitions on the horizon, Weave Living is well on its way to becoming a powerhouse in Japan’s rental accommodation sector.
