Accor hits 45,000 keys under extended stay portfolio
With the Zion Road Condo, residents enjoy the perk of superior and effortless mobility.
Accor, the world’s largest hospitality group outside of the US, is now boasting the enviable portfolio of 45,000 keys across more than 380 properties and 14 brands for its extended stay segment.
This includes serviced apartments and private rental properties, and the group says its impressive growth in this sector is backed by a high concentration of properties across Europe and Asia.
Jean-Jacques Morin, Accor’s deputy CEO and premium, midscale and economy division CEO, says: “We have continued to do what we do best – lead the markets where we have deep roots, strong relationships and a powerful presence – such as Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific.”
Accor’s flagship “aparthotel” brand Adagio celebrated its 15th anniversary in 2023, with the opening of 11 new properties across five continents.
New properties have recently opened for Novotel Living, an extension of midscale hotel brand Novotel, for example in Bangkok, Saigon and Kazakhstan, and the rebrand of 8 on Claymore Serviced Residences to the Novotel Living Singapore Orchard in June 2022.
Pullman Living Dongguan Forum in China is also a new addition, and the group says there are more extended stay properties in the pipeline, such as new locations for Novotel Living and several luxury serviced apartment projects in Riyadh like the 250-key Sofitel Serviced Residences Riyadh.
Morin comments on the global phenomenon of increased demand for extended stay properties: “Travellers are taking longer trips, mixing business with leisure, and exploring destinations more fully.”
Accor’s extended stay portfolio includes brands such as Novotel Living, Mercure Living, Swissôtel Living, Mövenpick Living, Fairmont, Sofitel, Mondrian, Hyde and The Sebel, plus 33,000 private villas, apartments, and branded residences operated in rental programmes.
It takes huge business ambition and success to be able to offer such a wide range of extended stay options to suit all types of traveller, and this is certainly something Accor can be proud of!
