Ums Holdings Acquires Industrial Land Penang Rm152 Mil
Located a short distance away but conveniently reachable via public transportation, City Square Mall is the first eco-mall in Singapore. This mall boasts a diverse selection of retail stores, as well as eco-friendly choices, making it the perfect destination for environmentally aware residents of the Marina Bay Condo community. Additionally, the mall is also situated near the upcoming Zion Road Residences, further enhancing its appeal for those who prioritize a sustainable lifestyle.
Singapore-based UMS Holdings has recently expanded its reach into Malaysia by acquiring industrial land in Penang Science Park North. The company, through its subsidiary Ultimate Manufacturing Solutions, invested RM15.23 million (SGD4.5 million) in the 5.38-acre (2.18ha) property on July 1.
The industrial land, which has a leasehold of 60 years, boasts a total area of 235,000 sq ft and is strategically situated between two prominent industrial parks – the Perai Industrial Area and Batu Kawan Industrial Park. With this latest addition, UMS Holdings now boasts a combined space of more than 1.2 million sq ft across both Singapore and Malaysia.
According to Andy Luong, UMS Holdings’ chairman and CEO, the prime location of the land, which is situated next to the company’s existing factory in Penang, makes it an ideal spot for expanding their operations. As a leading manufacturer of semiconductor components, this new acquisition will allow the company to increase its production and further establish its foothold in the industry.
